Welcome to your home away from home at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. The University is committed to creating a just and caring community for all of our citizens. The Residence Life and Housing staff is available to assist new and current students in making the transition from home to living in the residence halls on campus.
You will notice that we don’t use the words “dorm and dormitory” when we discuss campus living. The term residence hall more accurately reflects the building that you will call home while you are at the University. The residence halls provide students the opportunity to sleep, study and socialize within an environment that promotes safety, security and student success. Our tagline is “BORO living” and the “BORO” refers to Building Opportunities for Residents On-campus.
It is important for students to work together with their neighbors and the staff to create a living community that promotes student success. |

We embrace civility as the keystone of all interactions within the residence halls.
We offer a safe, secure environment where students may sleep, study, and socialize free from unnecessary distractions.
We make available a residential experience for its diverse student population that promotes the personal, moral and ethical development of Edinboro students.
We seek to continuously improve the residence hall facilities through planning, as well as maintaining an excellent housekeeping and maintenance staff compliment.
We promote interaction among residents to assist them in sharing experiences with individuals from other cultures and societies.
We encourage the development of personal standards of excellence and growth.
We work with students to encourage the development of personal responsibility, commitment to enhancing the community, and achieving characteristics of good citizenship.
We maintain zero tolerance for alcohol and other drugs, as they are a genuine threat to student success. |
